The UMH-XHD Adjustable-Speed Vortex Mixer is a compact laboratory
mixer designed for rapid vortex mixing of test tubes, centrifuge tubes, cell suspensions,
tissue samples and other small laboratory containers.
It provides a 1000–2800 rpm adjustable speed range with stepless
analog speed control and supports both continuous and jog operation.
Multiple interchangeable mixing heads are available for different tube and container formats.
Key Features
- Adjustable speed range from 1000 to 2800 rpm
- Stepless analog speed control
- Continuous and jog operating modes
- Rapid orbital vortex mixing
- Low-noise AC motor
- Compact benchtop design
- Stable operation for routine laboratory mixing
- Multiple interchangeable mixing heads available
- Suitable for test tubes, centrifuge tubes and small laboratory containers
Typical Applications
The UMH-XHD is suitable for a range of laboratory mixing procedures, including:
- Resuspending particles
- Vortexing cell suspensions
- Drug extraction procedures
- Mixing tissue samples
- ELISA-related laboratory procedures
- RIA-related laboratory procedures
- Mixing test-tube samples
- Mixing microcentrifuge tube samples
- Routine reagent and sample mixing
1000–2800 rpm Stepless Speed Control
UMH-XHD provides a continuously adjustable speed range from
1000 to 2800 rpm.
The front analog control dial allows the operator to adjust the mixing speed
according to the vessel type, sample volume and required mixing intensity.
Continuous and Jog Operation
Two operating modes are available for different laboratory workflows:
- Continuous Mode: suitable for longer mixing procedures where
uninterrupted vortex action is required. - Jog Mode: suitable for short mixing cycles and quick sample agitation.
Low-Noise AC Motor
The UMH-XHD uses a high-performance AC motor designed for rapid mixing,
stable operation and relatively low operating noise.
The compact mechanical structure makes the mixer suitable for routine use on
laboratory benches where working space is limited.
Interchangeable Mixing Heads
Different mixing heads can be selected according to the laboratory vessel being used.
Available options include:
- Multi-Well Tube Head: suitable for multiple 1.5 mL and 2 mL
microcentrifuge tubes. - Silicone Anti-Slip Platform: suitable for test tubes and small
containers with flat bottoms. - Standard Silicone Head: suitable for routine single-tube or
small-container vortex mixing. - Plastic Tube Head: suitable for compatible conical and
centrifuge tubes, including larger tube formats.
The required mixing head should be confirmed according to the vessel diameter,
tube volume and number of samples processed at one time.
